Plan Your Event

Welcome to the Gathering by Stockton Catering! Our mission is to provide you with exceptional quality, exceptional service and a creative cutting-edge culinary experience. Our professional staff is available to assist in planning your special event. Please contact our Catering Department by emailing catering@stockton.edu.

Policies & Procedures

Catering orders require a minimum 2 week advance notice. Events are based on a two hour service period. Events, including served meals and buffets requiring longer service periods or additional servers will be charged 50.00 per hour per attendant. The busy catering calendar may not be able to accept late bookings. If we accept them, an additional charge is necessary to cover the expense of last minute alterations and ordering. Events booked with less then (5) business days notice will require a ten percent (10%) food increase. Extremely last minute (72 hours or less) catering request will be determined by the Catering Department, depending on availability and staffing for an additional twenty-five percent (25%) of the total order. PLEASE NOTE: A FOOD WAIVER MAY NOT BE APPROVED IF WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE A LATE BOOKING.

Guest Counts

We kindly request a confirmed number of guests be specified 5 business days prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count, and is not subject to reduction. The minimum guest count for a catered event is 10 guests.

Cancellation

We kindly request that cancellations be made five business days prior to the contracted event date.You must contact the Catering Department by email: Catering@stockton.edu to let them know you are canceling your event. Events not canceled within five business days are subject to fees.

Service ware and China

All disposable service ware will be furnished as accompaniment to all items purchased. Some exceptions apply to orders being picked up. We provide high quality disposable plastic ware. Sustainable service ware is also available. Contact the catering department for further information. China and glassware is available for an additional charge. Linens on buffet tables are included.

Tax Exempt

We request tax-exempt forms be faxed to our office at (609) 939-0759 three business days prior to the event.

Billing & Payment

We request a 50% deposit by check once the contract is finalized and signed. The remainder will be required 5 days prior to the event when the headcount is final. If using credit card for balance it can be paid the day of the event.

Special Diets

Special diets are accommodated upon request, we kindly request that your needs be submitted as soon as possible.

Safe Food Handling

Safe food handling is a high priority for Stockton University Catering. Therefore, we reserve the right to limit the removal of leftover food by the customer to items that are available for carry out. For your safety, and that of your guests, a Catering representative will remove food from your event in a timely manner.
Off-site catering will be charged a $45.00 delivery fee.

Meeting Room and Equipment

Please reserve all non-food related equipment by contacting Stockton University Event Services at (609) 652-4878. This will include room reservation, set and room configuration, audio visual and other general information.
